PU'U HELEAKALA

Ungraded and shadeless ridge in western Oahu that terminates at an overlook of a pyramid shaped neighbor ridge. A hot and quick calf burner.

MAKAPU'U LIGHTHOUSE TRAIL and TIDE POOLS

Paved trail that ends at a lookout of a lighthouse and Oahu's windward coastline. Bonus adventure to tide pools and a pillbox also possible.

WA'AHILA RIDGE TRAIL to MOUNT OLYMPUS (AWAAWALOA)

Narrow ridges, a bit of scrambling, and epic windward and leeward summit views make this trail my go to quick(ish) hiking fix.
